FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a watch winder do?

Automatic watches wind themselves with the movement of your wrist. When you take them off, most stop after a day or two. A watch winder gently turns your watch while you're not wearing it, so it keeps running, stays on time and is ready to wear.

Will a winder over-wind or damage my watch?

No. Automatic watches have a slipping clutch that prevents over-winding, and our winders rest between rotations so the motion stays gentle.

Does it work with my watch?

Our winders fit most men's and women's automatic (self-winding) watches, on bracelets or straps. Quartz (battery) watches don't need a winder.

Is it noisy?

No. Our winders use quiet motors – many customers keep them in the bedroom.

How is it powered?

Most of our winders are USB powered and come with a USB cable. Plug them into any USB wall adapter, computer or power bank (wall adapter not included). The Collector 4+6 plugs into a wall outlet instead. Power details for each model are listed on its product page.

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship within 1-3 business days and usually arrive in 7-14 business days, with tracking. Shipping is free on every US order. For holiday gifts, we recommend ordering by December 5.

Can I return it?

Yes. You have 30 days to return your winder. See our Returns & Warranty page.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, every winder is covered by a 1-year warranty against motor defects.

Is it a good gift?

A watch winder is one of the most appreciated gifts for anyone who owns an automatic watch – for birthdays, Father's Day, anniversaries and the holidays.
